Managing Pick-Up Orders in ChannelDock
If you offer your customers the option to pick up orders from your shop or warehouse, follow these steps to manage those orders efficiently in ChannelDock:
Shipping service
Create a custom shipping method
NavigateGo to Connections->the 'Shipping Carrierscarriers page' Click on ‘Add Custom Shipping Method’ and create a new shipping method (eg.e.g., Pick up) by clicking on the 'Add custom shipping method'Up).
Create a shipping rule
CreateSet up a shipping rule based on the shipping service name and(e.g., selectpick_up). Assign the newly created shipping method you've(Pick created.Up) Moreto infothis rule. Find more information on how to createcreating shipping rules here.
Filter outPick-Up the the pick up ordersOrders
On the open‘Open ordersOrders’ page, therelocate will be athe box forcorresponding to this shipping methodmethod. whereAll you can find all the pick pick-up orders.orders will appear here.
For thoseeach orders,order, select '‘Manual shipment'Shipment’ thenand from the carrier drop-down selectmenu, 'choose ‘Pick up'Up’ and 'click ‘Confirm the shipment'Shipment’.
Notify the customer
WeOnce confirmed, ChannelDock will send an email to the customer to letnotifying them knowthat thistheir order is ready for pickpick-up. upUpdate and update thisthe order to "shipment"“Shipment” status, which will automatically close it in your webshop.
