Automate inventory through product bundles

ChannelDock offersallows the abilityyou to bundle products.products, Thiswhich can beis useful if,when forselling example, you sell productsitems in sets and wantmaintaining to keep youraccurate inventory levels correct.levels. Below we discussare a few different scenarios for using bundleproduct productsbundles effectively within ChannelDock.

Selling products as a set

In this example, we'll take a kitesurfing set that consists of a pump, bar and board that are also sold separately from each other. When a kitesurf set is ordered, you want the stock level of the individual products to go down. You also want the stock level of the set to be based on the stock level of the individual products within the set. To set this up correctly follow these steps: Open the bundle product (in this case, the kitesurf set). Click on "Settings" at the bottom right. Turn on the switch at the top right to convert the product to a bundle and then click the green 'Update product information' button.

  1. Open the bundle product (in this case,e.g., the kitesurf set). Change the stock of the bundle product to 0. 

  2. Click on 'Edit settings' at the bottom right.

  3. Turn onToggle the switch at the top right to convert the product tointo a bundle and then click the green 'Update product information' button.

  4. NowGo click onto the middle tab to add the individual products (e.g., pump, bar, board) to the bundle.

  5. Now add the individual products within the bundle. Note that you cannot add bundle products to bundle products.

TheNote: Bundle products cannot be added to other bundle products.

Now, the stock level of the kitesurfKitesurf set will nowbe beautomatically based on the available stock of the pump, barbar, and board.

Connecting EANs

With bundle

Linking products itwith isdifferent EANs

ChannelDock also possiblelets toyou link products together. Of course, it can always happen that you sell the same productsold under different EANs. In thisFor example, we will assume thatif product A, product BB, and product C are the same butitem sold under different EANs.EANs, Weyou arecan nowsynchronize goingtheir tostock makelevels. sureWhen thatone of these products is sold, the stock of the others will automatically update.

To set this up:

  1. Convert products B and C into bundle products by following the steps from the previous scenario.

  2. For both product B and product C will be based on the stock of product A. This means that when an order comes in for one of the three products, the stock of the other products will also be updated.

    Product B and product C we are going to convert both to a bundle product as described in the 3 steps of the previous scenario. If this is successful we willC, add within the bundle of both products product A asto showntheir in the images below:

AllNow, all three products are now connected. IfWhen you want to update the stock level of this product, it is important to update the stock level of product A.A, ChannelDock will thenautomatically update the stock levellevels of productproducts B and C by itself within minutes.

By using bundles and linking products, you can streamline inventory management and ensure accuracy across different sales channels.
