How to Troubleshoot Common Issues with DPD Shipping Labels in ChannelDock

Shipping labels are a critical part of order fulfillment, and ensuring their accuracy is essential for smooth operations. This guide addresses two common issues with DPD shipping labels in ChannelDock: incorrect sender addresses and missing product references. Follow the steps below to resolve these issues effectively.

Fixing Sender Address Errors

If the sender address is not appearing correctly on DPD shipping labels, it is likely due to shipping rule priority or incorrect address configuration. Hereโ€™s how to fix it:

1. Adjust Shipping Rule Priority

  • Navigate to Settings โ†’ Shipping Rules in ChannelDock.

  • Locate the rule responsible for setting the sender address for DPD shipments (e.g., a rule named "DPD Shipping").

  • Ensure this rule has a lower priority number than any competing rules (e.g., lower than a "B2B" rule) so it executes first.

2. Correct Sender Address Data

  • Go to Settings โ†’ Addresses.

  • Edit the sender address record you intend to use.

  • Verify that all required fields are correctly filled, including: - Country Code (e.g., "NL") - Company Name - House Number and other address details.

3. Resync and Test

  • Resync the shipping rule by using the Resync Shipping Rule action at the bottom of the rule page.

  • Create or use a test order to confirm that the correct sender address is applied.

Ensuring Product References Appear on Labels

If product references, barcodes, or amounts are missing from DPD shipping labels, it is likely because the product reference is not set for the items in the order. To resolve this:

  • Add a product reference to the relevant product(s) in ChannelDock.

  • Once the product reference is set, it will automatically appear on the DPD shipping label.

General Best Practices for Shipping Label Configuration

  • Regularly review and update your shipping rules to ensure they align with your operational needs.

  • Verify that all address records in ChannelDock are complete and accurate.

  • Test changes to shipping rules and address configurations using test orders to avoid disruptions in live operations.

By following these steps and best practices, you can ensure that your DPD shipping labels are accurate and meet your business requirements.
