Stock Advice System
Our system helps you decide how many items to send to Bol.com LvB/FBB or Amazon FBA and when to send them.
The goal is to avoid stockouts while keeping storage costs under control.
1. Products we calculate
Advice is only generated for products that are actually selling (>0 sales per day). For these products, the system checks both current stock in the marketplace warehouse and inbound shipments to know how much is available or on the way.
2. Sales speed & target coverage
Daily sales = recent sales ÷ days. Target = daily sales × coverage days (e.g. 14). Example: 4/day × 14 = 56 units.
3. Adjustments
The target is refined with deficit correction, a minimum of 5 units, a safety margin (e.g. +10%), and rounding to box size. This results in the advised send-in quantity.
4. Urgency and advice
We calculate when stock will run out: (stock ÷ daily sales) − safety margin.
For Bol.com the safety margin is 10 days.
For Amazon FBA it is 7 days (or supplier lead time if no own stock). Advice is only shown if the deadline is under 20 days, the amount is greater than 0, and you’ll run out before your target days. The advice appears as: “Restock Bol.com/Amazon with X items.”
Example
Sales speed: 4/day. Target: 14 days → 56 units. +10% margin → 62 → rounded to 66. Current stock: 20 (5 days left). Deadline = urgent. Advice: “Restock Amazon FBA with 66 items.”
